:I'm really torn right now between rattle canning my stuff and getting it powdercoated. For my plenum, balance tube, valve covers, and front water pipes, I was quoted $200 with a 1 week turnaround. I really don't want to rattle can my stuff because I know it doesn't last but I am still tempted to do it on some stuff if any of it will last. I know the valve covers don't see a lot of interaction so I can't see high temp paint just falling off of it or getting chipped. The balance tube is also easy to remove. Do you guys think I could get away with only having the plenum and water pipes done or is this non-negotiable? I don't want rework but I also don't have a lot of cash to splurge with.
Powder coat FTW worth every cent .
That is chrome powder coat on the throttle bodies and balance tube Wrinkle flat red on all 4 valve covers.. custom dark gray on the plenum .. I spent 220 ish
